Nigerians are uniting (using social media) to protest poor power generation and distribution in the countrylightupnigeria is an ongoing movement on facebook,twitter and almost every online forum and blog in Nigeria. - The objective is to raise an appeal, an awareness of the plight we have had to face in Nigeria due to poor power generation and distribution in the country.

Why should Nigerian's be subject to this kind of treatment...it's time to stand up for our rights...this is the beginning of a ripple effect that will mark a watershed moment in Nigeria. Lightupnigeria........
So far over 350 people are participating on twitter with @nnanna complaining that it is approaching "spam", but I'm wondering what will happen if it makes the trending topics on twitter, it could perhaps bring people to know the plight of nigerians like it did to the the Iranians.
