Good Girls Gone Bad

Last evening I had a very intense conversation with my friend J who insisted on interrogating me on why so many women tend to go for the good guy only after they've had their fun in their 20's?!?! I barely got a word in edge wise while he described the unfairness and utter frustration from this trend.

Here is the issue at hand; beginning with high school, through college and post college years many women go through this enlightened era of "girls just wanna have fun"! What usually happens here is that the fun is had with the more spontaneous, usually more attractive man who also doesn't attend his classes, can't hold down a job, can't make a serious commitment and often leaves her with a few heartbreaks.

After 10 or so years women tend to get tired of chasing after this kind of a man and now they're ready to settle down. But here's the problem - now there's baggage! Now she comes with a wounded heart, maybe a child or two and just want's a settle down for a normal life. But guess what, according to J, these good men didn't forget getting dissed time and time again through out those 10 years for the "cooler" guy. And they refuse now to take on a woman's baggage and get the more boring, wounded woman who now just wants to settle down and live a "normal" life. These good men wanted then and wants now to have wild fun as well, they want a woman who will love them with intense passion and can't keep her hands off him!! These are the men we often passed by in the hall and didn't even give a second look to and sometimes even laughed while passing by. You know, they get to class on time, they're usually studying after school, reading, maybe have a part time job. These are traits of discipline, commitment and responsibility the kind of man who becomes a VP, a successful entrepreneur, a doctor or maybe a politician. So what kind of a woman you think he's looking for now? The kind with a long rap sheet? Think again........
